Electric jaw crusher
Dual Power · diesel or mains electric
Plug it in.
No diesel at all.
Every JTEC jaw crusher comes with Dual Power as standard – run it on the John Deere diesel anywhere, or 100% electric from a 3-phase mains supply on site.
One crusher. Two ways to power it.
Most crushers burn diesel every working hour, whatever the job. A JTEC crusher gives you the choice.
Where there’s mains power – a quarry, a recycling yard, a fixed site – plug in and run fully electric. No diesel, no exhaust and no fuel deliveries.
Where there isn’t, switch to the diesel engine and go anywhere. Even then, a JTEC crusher runs on just 8–10 litres an hour.

Full power on mains.
Even on dolerite.
Dolerite is one of the hardest rocks a crusher will ever face – dense, abrasive and up to five times stronger than the concrete most contractors crush. Here’s a JTEC 1063 crushing it in South Africa – plugged into the mains, with no engine running.
The JTEC 1063 crushing very hard dolerite in South Africa – on mains power only. Turn the sound up: no engine running.
Lower costs.
Cleaner sites.
- Cut your fuel billMains power usually costs far less per tonne than diesel – and there’s no fuel to fetch, store or steal.
- No exhaust on siteIdeal for yards, built-up areas and sites with emissions targets.
- Quieter runningWith the engine off, your neighbours and your team will notice the difference.
- Less engine wearFewer engine hours mean longer service intervals and lower running costs.
- A greener story to tellLower carbon helps you win work with clients who measure it.
- Diesel when you need itNo grid on the next job? Switch over and keep crushing.

Ready for
zero-emission sites.
Cities across the UK and Europe are tightening the rules on machinery exhaust. Plugged into mains power, a JTEC crusher already has zero exhaust emissions on site.
Every litre of diesel burned puts out about 2.7 kg of CO₂. A crusher burning 20 litres an hour for 1,500 hours a year produces around 80 tonnes of CO₂. Run a JTEC on mains power and the figure on site is zero.
- LondonConstruction machinery must meet Stage IV across London from 2025 and Stage V from 2030 – and from 2040, only zero-emission machinery will be allowed.
- OsloThe city’s own building sites are already largely emission-free, and a proposed rule would require most site energy to be emission-free by 2030.
- Across EuropeNew off-road engines must meet the EU Stage V standard, and cities such as Amsterdam and Copenhagen are pushing for emission-free construction.
- JTEC: ready nowZero exhaust on mains power. On diesel, around half the fuel of most crushers in its class.

From one crusher
to a fleet.
GLC Plant Hire bought its first JTEC crusher in 2020. It still works every day – so GLC bought a second, and we’re now building it a JTEC 412 screen to its own spec.
“We are extremely pleased with the production, performance and build quality of the JTEC crushers, along with the significant fuel savings – using less than 50% of the fuel compared to our previous crushers.”
